I have been a middle school art teacher for over 25 years - trying my best to inspire my students and instill in them a love for all the arts. I often compare some of the traits of a good teacher to those of a good photographer and I draw on those daily: Preparation, Practice, Persistence, and Patience! It’s amazing what you can accomplish with those simple goals in mind!
I attribute my love of nature to my time growing up on Washington Island, WI. Although my family moved to Oshkosh when I was a young we returned to the Island as often as we could. It is a place that I feel pulled to, a place of comfort, home. I draw much of my inspiration from the surrounding waters, the forests and farm fields, and the Milky Way arching through the sky at night. The thrill of seeing the Northern Lights dance in the sky keeps me up way past my bedtime far too often - but every second is worth it!
My hope is that you will find inspiration in one of my photos, something that speaks to you. Or that we can work together to capture that perfect moment when you make new memories of your own that will last a lifetime!
